History

The original 22.835 km Nordschleife -- Jackie Stewart's "Green Hell" -- hosted F1 until Niki Lauda's near-fatal 1976 crash. A new 5.148 km GP-Strecke opened in 1984 and last hosted the Eifel Grand Prix in 2020.
