Background
History
Inaugurated in 1953, Imola hosted the San Marino Grand Prix from 1981 to 2006 and returned as the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in 2020. Layout was heavily revised after Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna died at the 1994 event.
